Salt Water Flush

Prepare yourself for some pretty gross (implied) details.
 
One of the key goals of the master cleanse is aiding your body with the natural process of eliminating built-up toxins, and to rid yourself of unhealthy dependancies (such as caffeine, alcohol, refined sugars, processed food etc). Starting each morning with a SWF is essential to achieve these goals – I recommend following these directions:

Add 2 level teaspoons of pure sea salt (non-iodized if indicated) to 1 litre of lukewarm water.

I recommend dissolving the salt in 200ml of boiling water, then dilute further with remaining 800ml of normal water.

Drink the entire litre of salty water first thing in the morning. This must be taken on an empty stomach and the ideal time is first thing in the morning.

Several bowel movements should follow. Some days you will experience your first bowel movement within a few minutes, however most days this will start 20-30 minutes after you have drank the salty water.


How long will this take?

You should experience your last bowel movement of the “flush” around 1-1.5 hours after drinking the water.


Nothing is happening?

If you are waiting a long time to experience your first movement, do not drink more salty water. Instead drink another 1 litre of normal pure lukewarm water.


Getting the Balance Right

If eliminations are quite weak you could consider increasing the amount of salt slightly; likewise if the results are “too forceful” can you think about reducing the salt-to-water ratio until you find a comfortable balance.
